Antic Tresor

ANTIC TRESOR is inspired by ancient roman & Hellenistic jewelry. These pieces are made with textured coins looking as if they were just found in an archaeological excavation and matched with beautiful gems. I´ve made Alexander the Great´s coins from originals, using the ancient lost wax casting in silver and bronze. The color is never the same, so each jewel is unique, capturing that feel of aged texture. Ancients were inspired by sea fauna and botany. I reproduce Mediterranean flowers: roses, cherry tree flowers, hibiscus and fig tree leaves mixing them with gems Hellenic women wore: garnet and agate, but also coral, aventurine and tiger´s eye.
